We are committed to achieving Net Zero.
Flow Neuroscience AB is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
As an SME, we can decide what type of business we want to be and how what we do has an impact on the environment. The team at Flow Neuroscience want to be part of the climate change management solution, not the problem and support the NHS in the ambition to become the first net zero health service.
Future ambitions will be to one day operate as a carbon negative company through further carbon emission reducing initiatives.
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
This is Flow Neuroscience’s first ever carbon reduction plan, encompassing our first ever baseline emissions calculation for 2022. We have therefore never set reduction targets and commitments. As we work over the coming years to achieve Net Zero, we will start to work towards achieving the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 503 tCO2e by 2028. This is a reduction of 14%. We then aim to reduce our emissions year by year to ensure we are a net carbon zero operation before 2050.
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
As this is our first baseline measurement, we are yet to complete any Carbon Reduction Initiatives, however in the future we will look to implement the following projects which will contribute to our commitment to improve our carbon emissions and work towards a Net Zero as quickly as possible.
Proposed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard[1] and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting[2].
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard[3].
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
